Dark Brown and Cream Windowpane Rug – Hand Knotted Wool Moroccan High Pile, Beni Mrirt

A dark brown and cream windowpane rug, hand-knotted in thick Beni Mrirt wool. Double lines of deep espresso brown cross a warm ivory field in an open windowpane: two bands run the length and three run across, each made of two 2.5 in lines with an ivory channel between them, so every square pane has its own frame. The lines are knotted a little taller than the ivory, so the grid stands in soft relief.

Both colours are natural, undyed fleece, so there is no dye to bleed and the brown stays clean against the ivory. The tailored grid stays calm under furniture and suits a living room, bedroom, dining room or study.
