Brown, Burgundy and Cream Striped Rug – Hand Knotted Wool Moroccan Area Rug, Carved Beni Mrirt Shag

A brown, burgundy and cream striped rug, hand-knotted in thick Beni Mrirt wool. The stripes wander a little as they cross the rug, swelling and tapering by hand, and the rug is carved high-low: the cream bands stand at full shag height while the brown and burgundy bands are cut lower, so each cream edge shows a soft step in the pile.

Deep oxblood burgundy sits inside the chocolate bands rather than against the cream, which keeps the colours crisp. The palette warms a living room, bedroom or dining room, and the same stripe comes as a runner for hallways.
