The top combines an orange field with a cream inset and cobalt bar. A thin black outer outline leads toward the lower portion; inside it, a stepped diagonal and a small diamond create two different focal points. The blue side bands frame the cream center.
A large central table would hide much of the drawing. If you want to enjoy the staircase and diamond, begin with a side table or a smaller table placed off center. Compare the view from the sofa as well as the doorway.
A plain curved sofa can sit beside the orange end without echoing every angle. Keep the upholstery quiet so the black line remains legible. A round side table adds another curve without covering the cream center.
