Navy and Cream Topographic Rug – Hand Knotted Wool Contour Line Moroccan Shag, Beni Mrirt

A navy and cream topographic rug, hand-knotted in thick Beni Mrirt wool. Bold hand-drawn navy contour lines cross a plush field of undyed ivory like a map of the Atlas mountains: three loops ring a larger summit, two ring a smaller one, and the outer lines sweep around both and run off the edges. Each line is about 2.5 in wide and about 9 in from the next, with soft, slightly irregular edges, as knotted by hand.

It brings movement and a confident graphic line to a room while keeping the calm of an ivory rug, and the navy sits easily with cognac leather, walnut and warm whites. It suits a living room, bedroom, dining room or library, and it is also woven with espresso brown lines.
