Brown and Cream Ombre Rug – Hand Knotted Wool Moroccan High Pile Shag, Beni Mrirt

A brown and cream ombre rug, hand-knotted in thick Beni Mrirt wool with no dye at all. It fades along its length through five shades of natural fleece: plain ivory for the first third, then oat, camel and warm mid-brown to dark chocolate brown at the far end. Each change of shade is made knot by knot, scattering the two colours together, so the fade reads soft and heathered, with no stripes or edges.

The pile is a uniform deep 25 mm with no carving, so the rug is all softness underfoot. Lay it with the light end toward the open side of the room; it suits a living room, bedroom, dining room or a den by the fire.
