Rust and Cream Sun Rug – Round, Square or 8x10 Hand Knotted Wool Moroccan Shag, Beni Mrirt

A rust and cream sun rug, hand-knotted in thick Beni Mrirt wool and made first as a round. A single sun sits at the centre of a warm undyed ivory field: a honey-gold disc ringed by undyed camel and a deep rust band, sixteen straight camel rays, eight long and eight short, and a faint oat halo near the edge. The medallion is knotted a little taller than the ivory, so it stands in soft relief.

The honey and rust are wash-tested and only ever meet undyed camel, never the ivory, so the colours stay clean. As an 8 ft round it suits a breakfast table, an entrance hall or a sitting area; it is also woven as a square, an oval or a rectangle, with the sun scaled to fit each size.
