Navy and Cream Banded Rug – Hand Knotted Wool Moroccan High Pile, Beni Mrirt

A navy and cream banded rug, hand-knotted in thick Beni Mrirt wool. A plain, plush field of warm undyed ivory is closed at each end by the same band group: a 4 in deep indigo band cased in undyed camel, then a narrow ivory gap and a single camel pinstripe. The bands are knotted a little taller than the ivory, so they stand in soft relief, and the long middle stays quiet and soft underfoot.

The indigo is wash-tested and only ever touches camel, never the ivory, so the bands stay crisp. Because the bands sit at the ends, every length reads complete: it suits a living room, bedroom or dining room, and as a runner it closes a hallway at both ends, in lengths up to 22 ft.
