Blush Pink and Cream Color Block Rug – Abstract Hand Knotted Wool Moroccan Shag, Beni Mrirt

A blush pink and cream color block rug, hand-knotted in thick Beni Mrirt wool. Five large, softly drawn blocks in rose-brown clay, dusty blush, taupe and sand rest on an undyed cream field, and three of them run off the edges, so the rug reads as a calm abstract composition. Each clay and blush block is edged on its cream side by a 2 in band of undyed taupe wool, carved lower than the rest, so the blocks sit in soft relief.

The palette is warm and quiet. Blush and clay pick up terracotta ceramics and rose velvet, while the taupe and sand tie the rug to oak, travertine and linen. It anchors a large open-plan living room, a bedroom, a dining room or a reading corner. The dyed wool carries a natural tonal variation from hand-dyed batches, so the colour looks soft and alive rather than flat.
