Dark Brown and Cream Diamond Rug – Beni Ourain Style Hand Knotted Wool Moroccan Shag

A dark brown and cream diamond rug in the Beni Ourain tradition, hand-knotted in thick Beni Mrirt wool. One large diamond is drawn at the centre of a plush undyed ivory field in deep espresso brown: three nested outlines, each about 2.5 in wide with about 5 in of ivory between them, around a small solid diamond. The lines are straight but drawn by hand, with gently rounded points, and the corners stay plain ivory.

It is the classic Moroccan look made bold and simple: one centred motif in two natural colours. It anchors a seating group, sits beautifully in front of a fireplace, and works just as well in a bedroom or dining room. It is also woven with navy diamonds.
