Dark Green Floral Rug – Botanical Leaf Hand Knotted Wool Moroccan Shag, Ivory, Beni Mrirt

A dark green floral rug, hand-knotted in thick Beni Mrirt wool. Large stylised leaves, about 2 ft long, and three five-petal blooms in deep forest green are scattered across an undyed ivory field at varied angles, each outlined by a 2 in band of undyed dark-brown wool, with a brown midrib down every leaf. The motifs are knotted taller than the ivory, so the leaves and blooms stand in soft raised relief, and about three quarters of the rug stays ivory.

The forest green is a deep, cool green, darker than olive, and it only ever meets the brown outlines, never the ivory, so the dye stays clean. It brings a fresh botanical note to a living room, bedroom, dining room or garden room without overwhelming it.
